ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Separate sealed bids for the construction of Gibson CR 800S at US 41 will be received by the Gibson County Commissioners at the Courthouse North Annex, located at 225 N. Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670 until 4:00 p.m. CDST on May 6, 2019. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the Gibson County Redevelopment Commission Meeting beginning at 6:00 pm CDST on the same date. The bids will be opened at the Courthouse North Annex, 225 N. Hart St., Princeton, IN 47670. Any bids received later than the above time and date will be returned unopened. The project consists of widening and resurfacing Gibson CR 800S for 1400’ west of US 41. It also includes the grading of ditches, the addition of drive pipes and the construction of a new waterline. Work on the project may begin once the notice to proceed has been issued. The road may not be closed to traffic before May 28, 2019 and must be re-opened by August 8, 2019. The final project completion date is October 11, 2019. The Bid Package consists of one bound 36”x24” set of plans, one bound set of Contract Documents, and one Bid Proposal Packet. Copies of the Bid Package may be purchased from Eastern Engineering (https://distribution.easternengineering.com). The Bid Package may be examined at the following locations: • United Consulting, 8440 Allison Pointe Blvd., Suite 200, Indianapolis, Indiana 46250 • Gibson County Engineer, Matthew L. Holden, P.E., 1791 E. 350 S., Princeton, IN 47670 Any questions, comments, or requests for clarification should be made to United Consulting. Each bid must include the following completed and executed items: • Proposal Form with the Base Bid Item Table and Bid Amount • Form 96 (State Board of Accounts) • Bid Bond or Certified Check made payable to the Gibson County Auditor (10% of bid amount) • Non-Collusion affidavit • Legal Status of Bidder form Contractors and Sub-Contractors are required to enroll in and verify the work eligibility status of all its newly hired employees through the E-Verify program. No bidder may withdraw his proposal within a period of 60 days following the date set for opening bids. The Redevelopment Commission reserves the right to retain any and all bids for a period of not more than 60 days, and said bids shall remain in full force and effect during said time.
