NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Works (hereinafter "BOW") of the City of Princeton, Indiana (hereinafter "Princeton" or "City" with said terms used interchangeably), will receive sealed bids at City Hall, which is located at 310 W. State Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670, until 5:30p.m. (Central Time) on Monday, July 16, 2018, for a contract for the White Church Crossing Off-Site Sanitary Sewer Extension; said project is more particularly described herein and in the specifications incorporated herein by reference.
Bids must be submitted to the BOW either at the time of the meeting (5:30p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2018) or received prior thereto at the Office of the Mayor of the City, which is located in the City Hall at 310 W. State Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope marked "Off-Site Sewer Extension". Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud by the Board of Works in the Council Chambers of City Hall, which is located at 310 W. State Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670, on Monday, July 16, 2018, at 5:30p.m. (Central Time).
Any bids received later than the above time and date will be returned unopened. No oral, telephoned, facsimile, or email bids or changes to bids will be considered.
After the opening and reading of the bids, the BOW may take the bids under advisement and make a final decision at a subsequent public meeting. The Board of Works reserves the right to waive any irregularities or informalities in any bid, to award the contract to the lowest responsible and responsive bidder, or to reject all bids submitted.
Bids shall be properly and completely executed, and each bid shall be made using the Indiana State Board of Accounts' Contractor's Bid for Public Work- Form 96, with acceptable bid security and be completely filled out and signed. The bid security shall be a certified check payable to the City of Princeton, Indiana, or a satisfactory bond by an incorporated surety company in good standing and qualified to do business in the State of Indiana in an amount equal to 10% of the bid. Said bid security will be for the purpose of ensuring the execution of the contract for which the bid is made. Additionally, each bidder submitting a proposal must provide a signed affidavit of non-collusion and any other items specified in the specifications. Any bid not accompanied by the required items shall be deemed a non-responsive bid.
A Pre-Bid meeting for all Bidders will be held at 9:00 a.m. (CDT) local time on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Council Chambers of City Hall, which is located at 310 W. State Street, Princeton, Indiana 47670. Attendance at the Pre-Bid meeting is mandatory for all Bidders. Failure to attend shall render any Bid non-responsive.
A completed set of documents and plans are available for examination at the Office of Mayor Brad Schmitt, at City Hall, 310 W. State Street, Princeton, IN 47670. Complete documents and plans can also be obtained electronically by registering as a plan holder at www.macoplanroom.com. Electronic files can be downloaded for a non-refundable fee of $25. Printed copies of bidding documents are also available for purchase at www.macoplanroom.com or at MACO – Evansville Blue, 600 Court Street, Evansville, IN 47708.
