Owner: Gibson County, Indiana

Project/Work: Removal of a total of twelve (12) unsafe residential structures in Gibson County, Indiana.

The location of these twelve (12) structures to be removed within Gibson County are as follows: one (1) located in the Town of Fort Branch, Union Township, one (1) in the Town of Hazleton, White River Township, six (6) located in the City of Princeton, Patoka Township, two (2) located in the City of Oakland City, Columbia Township, one (1) located in the Town of Somerville (Oakland City address), Barton Township, and one (1) located in Columbia Township Gibson County, Indiana.

Notice is hereby given that Gibson County will receive sealed bids for the above described "Project/Work" at the office of the Gibson County Commissioners, Gibson County North Annex, 225 N. Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670 until 4:00 P.M. (local time) on September 18, 2018. Such bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at 6:00 P.M. (local time) on September 18, 2018 in the Gibson County Commissioners’ Meeting Room, Gibson County North Annex, 225 N. Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670. No late bids will be accepted.

A Bid Bond or certified check in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the amount bid must be submitted with each Bid regardless of the amount of the Bid. A one hundred percent (100%) Performance and Payment Bond will also be required of the successful Bidder. All Bids must also include the completed Bid Form from the Bid Project Manual/Specifications as well as the completed non-collusion affidavit, acknowledgement of addendum(s) received and the company’s financial statement attached.

The Work consists of, but is not necessarily limited to the following:

Removal of a total of twelve (12) unsafe residential structures in Gibson County, Indiana.

Contract Documents for the Project/Work have been assembled into one or more bound Bid Project Manuals which may be viewed from September 6, 2018 through September 18, 2018 by appointment during general office hours at the following locations:

1. Gibson County North Annex, 225 N. Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670. Please contact Kay Vore, Gibson County Administrator, at (812) 385-8260 to make an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

2. City of Princeton City Hall, 310 W. State Street, Princeton, IN 47670. Please contact Clinton Smith, Building Commissioner, at (812) 386-1333 or (812) 215-0191 to make an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

3. Oakland City City Hall, 301 S. Franklin Street, Oakland City, IN 47660. Please contact Brenda Willis, Clerk-Treasurer, to make an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

4. Fort Branch Town Hall, 801 E. Mulberry Street, Fort Branch, IN 47648. Please contact Stacy Elpers, Clerk-Treasurer, at (812) 753-3824 to make an appointment Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M.

Copies of the Bid Project Manual/Specifications may be obtained at the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana, 318 Main Street, Suite 400 Evansville, Indiana 47708 from September 6, 2018 through September 18, 2018 between the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. (local time) Monday – Friday. Please contact Debbie Bennett-Stearsman at (812) 423-2020 to schedule an appointment. The cost for each specification book is $50.00. Checks should be made payable to the Economic Development Coalition of Southwest Indiana.

This Work will be funded by the County of Gibson. The participation goal for Minority/Women/Veteran Business Enterprises for this contract is 10%.

A pre-bid conference for discussion of the Work and the bidding requirements will be held at 9:00 a.m. (local time) on September 13, 2018 at the Gibson County Commissioner’s Meeting Room, Gibson County North Annex, 225 N. Hart Street, Princeton, IN 47670. All prospective Bidders, including contractors and subcontractors, are strongly urged to attend the pre-bid conference.

Gibson County reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities and to accept the bid which it deems most favorable to the interest of the Owner after all bids have been examined and canvassed.
