NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS REGARDING DETERMINATION TO ISSUE BONDS OF THE NORTH GIBSON SCHOOL CORPORATION, GIBSON COUNTY, INDIANA
The taxpayers of the North Gibson School Corporation, Gibson County, Indiana (the “School Corporation”), are hereby notified that on September 18, 2017, the Board of School Trustees of the School Corporation (the “Board”), adopted a resolution which determined that the School Corporation will issue general obligation bonds of the School Corporation, payable out of ad valorem property taxes collected by the School Corporation on all taxable property within the geographical boundaries of the School Corporation, to be designated “North Gibson School Corporation, Gibson County, Indiana, General Obligation Bonds, Series 2017” in an original aggregate principal amount not to exceed One Million One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($1,100,000), with a final maturity ending no later than January 15, 2020, and bearing interest at a rate or rates not exceeding four percent (4.00%), the exact rate or rates to be determined by bidding (the “Bonds”). The proceeds of the Bonds will be used to pay for all or a portion of the cost to (1) construct and equip a new transportation maintenance facility, which will contain approximately 5,800 square feet with approximately one office, one restroom and two related storage areas serving three complete pull-through bays for bus maintenance and cleaning, as well as a fueling station, fencing and parking to accommodate approximately 40 buses together with winter electric plug-ins for such buses, (2) undertake other facility improvement, equipping and land improvement and/or acquisition projects throughout the geographical boundaries of the School Corporation, and (3) undertake all projects related to any of the projects described in clauses (1) through and including (2).
