Details for The Trustees of the City of Oakland City (hereinafter “City”)

The Trustees of the City of Oakland City (hereinafter “City”) invite interested persons or entities to submit sealed bids for the acquisition of a parcel of surplus real property. The property is currently owned by the City and is located off of Cherry Street. It has been assigned parcel identification number 26-14-18-103-001.361-007. For identification purposes, this is the site of a former water tower. County records show that the property is adjacent to property owned by the following individuals / entities: (1) Roger Lee Moss at 530 N. Madison Street, (2) Oakwood Theater at 530 N. Clay Street, (3) Lee Soper located at 534 N. Madison Street, (4) LLDD Properties, LLC located at 519 W. Cherry Street, (5) Karla Askren located at 518 N. Madison Street, and Carol Blythe located at 523 W. Cherry Street.

Interested bidders can submit sealed bids in person or by mail to City Hall, which is located at 301 S. Franklin Street, Oakland City, Indiana up until 4 p.m. on Tuesday, July 25, 2017; bids must be received by said time (as opposed to post marked). Interested bidders can also submit sealed bids in person at the Oakland City Common Council meeting on Tuesday, July 25th, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.; the Common Council meeting is held at the fire station, which is located at 314 N. Main Street, Oakland City, Indiana 47660.

The City reserves the right to, at its discretion, reject any and all bids.
