Power products raffle will be March 10

OWENSVILLE -- American Legion Post 51 hosts a STIHL Power Products Raffle on March 10 featuring 20 Stihl products, including chain saws, weedeaters, lawnmower, pole saws, edger, blower, hedge trimmer and several kombi systems.

Total prize value is a little more than $8,600 (MSRP). Participants don't have to be present to win. Drawing takes place at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 10, at the Owensville Community Center.

Only 300 tickets will be sold at $50 per ticket and available from any Owensville Post 51 Legion member.

Drawing will begin at the lowest priced item and work its way up in value.

Winners may "buy back in" for $50 to have a chance of winning another tool and be entered in a side raffle for a Stihl RB-600 pressure washer, a value of $899.95.

All proceeds go to the Owensville American Legion Post 51. For more information, call 812 664-5759.

Vegetable and chili soup meal will also be offered for sale.

Coupon booksare available

PRINCETON -- The Gibson County Youth Center Coupon Books are available at Old National Bank, German American, the Gibson County Youth Center and Casey's General Store. The money-saving book features coupons from local businesses. The books are $10.

K of C bingoevery Thursday

PRINCETON -- The Princeton Knights of Columbus Council 1131 host a weekly bingo every Thursday (except on holidays). Doors open at 4:30 p.m. and early bird games start at 6 p.m.

Food is available, including sandwiches, soup and pie (No outside food and drinks allowed). There will be free popcorn and coffee, and Door Prizes.

Treasure huntevery Wednesday

PRINCETON -- Princeton Eagles 361's treasure hunt tickets are available to the public every day from noon to 6.30 p.m. A drawing will be held at 7 p.m.

No March breakfast at Post 256 planned

OAKLAND CITY -- American Legion Post 256, Oakland City, will not serve breakfast March 3. They will resume regular schedule Saturday, April 7.

The legion serves breakfast from 7-9 a.m. on the first Saturday of each month. The breakfast is $6 per person (biscuits, potatoes, scrambled eggs, sausage gravy, coffee).
