PRINCETON — The Gibson County Coroner is investigating the death of one person who died at the scene of a Friday morning accident. A second person was critically injured in the Friday morning two-vehicle crash on Ind. 64 near CR 850 West in rural Gibson County, the Gibson County Sheriff's Office confirmed.

Sgt. Bruce Vanoven reported in a press release that Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report at 5:30 a.m. of the crash. One driver was taken to Gibson General Hospital and transported by air ambulance to an Evansville area hospital, according to the release. The second driver died at the scene.

Medics from Gibson County Ambulance Service, Owensville Montgomery Township Fire Department, Princeton Fire Territory, and Indiana State Police were also dispatched to the scene.

Vanoven reported no further information will be released until the coroner's investigation is completed.
