PRINCETON — Fourteen lots ranging in appraised value from $500 to $3,500 are offered for sale by the City of Princeton by sealed bid.

Princeton Building Commissioner Clinton Smith told the Princeton Common Council Monday night that the properties are advertised Tuesday and Dec. 19 in The Daily Clarion and bids will be opened at the Jan. 16 meeting of the Princeton Board of Public Works and Safety.

Smith said the city-owned properties, many of which were cleaned up through Blight Elimination Program grant funding, will be sold to the highest responsible bidder. He said he has another list of properties he wants to submit for another round of BEP cleanup work if funding is available.

The properties offered for sale by bid include parcels at 114 North Ninth Street; 922 West Railroad Street; 107 West Warnock Street; 226 and 404 East Oak Street; 614 East Emerson Street; 703 West Broadway Street; 310 East Water Street; 204, 614, 601 and 933 South Race Street; 1106 South Gibson Street; and 1020 South Prince Street.

During Monday's brief meeting, the council established the 2018 meeting and holiday schedule, and the board of works awarded a cleaning contract for the municipal building of $980 per month to A&V Cleaning.
