PRINCETON—Beginning Monday, Gibson General Hospital starts a four month renovation project on its west tower, which includes the hospital’s main entrance.
The project includes replacement of windows and the exterior façade of the building, according to a news release from the hospital Thursday.
“Due to natural weathering of the exterior material and changes in installation and design practices, this renovation is necessary to improve the durability of the building structure,” said Gibson General Hospital President and CEO, Emmett Schuster. “The project will improve insulation, energy efficiency and water resistance.”
Construction will not interfere with patient care or access to hospital services as the main entrance will remain open throughout renovation, according to the release.
“We are focused on maintaining the safety of our patients, visitors and employees during this time, and we apologize in advance for any inconveniences and excess noise that may arise during renovation,” added Schuster.
