Trucker arrested for pulling gun

PRINCETON — A Carlisle man was arrested Thursday afternoon at the Love's Truck Stop near Haubstadt, preliminarily charged with criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon in connection with an argument at the fuel pump.

According to a news release from the Gibson County Sheriff's Office, a 911 caller reported the disturbance at 4:03 p.m. Thursday. Fort Branch and Haubstadt police and Gibson County Sheriff’s Office responded and investigated the report, where Deputy Jennifer Loesch learned that the disturbance began at the semi truck fuel island and involved two truck drivers. Witnesses told police that Douglas Arnold, 46, pulled a handgun and pointed it at the other person.

Loesch took Arnold into custody and he was booked at the Gibson County Jail, with bond set at $750.
