PRINCETON — Beverly Ann Beckes, 82, of Cincinnati, Ohio passed away Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018, at Cincinnati, Ohio.

She was born May 11, 1936, in Fort Branch to Albert and Alma (Fortner) Singleton.

She lived in Cincinnati since 2012, coming from Bloomington. She was formerly of Princeton and also lived awhile in Florida. After graduation she attended Indiana Business College. She was formerly the director of Gibson County Council On Aging, owned and operated the Merle Norman store in Washington, Indiana and was a teacher’s aide in the Washington School System.

She is survived by her husband, Joe Beckes of Sullivan, Indiana; two sons, Hap Eric Beckes (Doreen) of Sullivan and Dr. Kirt Aron Beckes MD (Dr. Angie Beckes MD) of Cincinnati; nine grandchildren; one sister, Sharon Neufelder of Princeton; and one brother, Joe Singleton of Petersburg.

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Curtis Bond. Burial will follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Fort Branch. Visitation will be from noon until service time on Saturday at the Colvin Funeral Home.
