FORT BRANCH — Charles L. Adler, 89, formerly of Fort Branch, died at Harrison Crossing Nursing Home in Terre Haute, on Nov. 23, 2017.

He was born Dec. 9, 1927, son of Oscar and Elvera (Riffert) Adler in Haubstadt.

He is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers; Norbert Adler and Oscar J. Adler, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Jessie Adler of Terre Haute; children Dean and Kent Adler of Indianapolis, and Theresa Adler of Terre Haute; brother Armon Adler of Evansville; sisters ImoGene Rexing of Evansville and Mary Lee Elpers of Dale; and three grandchildren.

Mass of Christian burial is at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 27 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Fort Branch, Fathers Tony Ernst and Ambrose Wanyonyi co-celebrants. Visitation is from 9-11 a.m. Monday, at Holy Cross Catholic Church with burial in Holy Cross Cemetery. Military rites will be held at the cemetery after committal services.
