OWENSVILLE — Clarke E. Waston, 84, of Owensville, died Feb. 12, 2019, at his home.

He was born March 28, 1934, in Vincennes to George and Louise (Kidwell) Watson.

He is survived by children Michelle (Pedro) Duran of Owensville; Pangela (Don) Letterman of Boonville; Dan (Amy) Watson of New Palestine, Indiana; Nelson (Anna) Opell of Albuquerque, New Mexico; sister, Donna Sensmeier of Darmstadt, 10 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Verna (Lockhart) Watson on Nov. 1974; son Vance Opell; great-grandson Carter Vincent, brothers, and sisters; Dick Watson, Glen Watson, Beverly Stephens, Phyllis Black, and Susie Fossweyer.

Visitation will be Friday, Feb. 15, 2019, from 4-8 p.m. at the Stodghill Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Saturday. Feb. 16, 2019, at 10 a.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Volkman Road in Evansville.

Burial will be held at 2 p.m. at May Chapel Church Cemetery in Lawrenceville, Illinois.
