PRINCETON – James R. “Jimmy” Greentree, 56, of Denton, Texas and formerly of Princeton, passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2018. He was born on April 12, 1961, in Gibson County. Jimmy was a truck driver but had previously worked in retail at Walmart and K-Mart.

He is survived by his wife, Tina Greentree of Denton, Texas; mother, Margaret Greentree of Columbia, S.C.; two children, James (Leah) Greentree of Denton, and Crystal (Lucas) Deimund of Festus, Mo.; five grandchildren, Colby, Sierra, Avery, Chevy and Cody; two great-grandchildren, Brenleigh and Scarlett; and two sisters, Mary Robb of Princeton and Georgetta Greentree of Evansville.

Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 3, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by the Rev. Kenneth Hurst. Burial will follow at Owensville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday at Colvin Funeral Home.
