FORT BRANCH — Kenneth W. “Bill” Bent, 65, of Fort Branch, died Nov. 2, 2017 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

He was born to Charles and Cathryn (Sackett) Bent Jan. 18, 1952 in Evansville.

He was the owner/operator of Bent’s Garage in Fort Branch, for more than 40 years. He was a member of Fort Branch Jaycees, Kiwanis, DeMolay, and the Fraternal Order of Police.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother Darryl Bent.

Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Jennie (Lewis) Bent of Fort Branch; son, Will (Kimberly) Bent of Fort Branch; sisters, Carol Ferguson of Petersburg and Dawn Lindauer of Fort Branch; a nephew, three grandchildren and several nieces and cousins.

Celebration of Life service is Tuesday at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Rev. Corey Atkins officiating. Visitation hours are 4-8 p.m. Monday and from 1 p.m. to service time Tuesday. Burial follows at Walnut Hill Cemetery.
