PRINCETON — Leon Piercy, 83, of Princeton, entered rest Sunday, Oct. 29, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton.

He was born Sept. 25,1934 in Fairplay, Kentucky. He was preceded in death by his father, William C., and mother Stella (Helm) Piercy, and a brother, Donald W. Piercy. Leon was a music major at Western Kentucky University, in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He played the piano and clarinet and was in the ROTC band. He was of the Christian Faith. He worked at Potter & Brumfield-Seimens for 45 years and at Gibson General Hospital for 18 years.

He is survived by a sister, Rena M. (Darrell) Corn of Oakland City; nephews Geoffrey (Melissa) Corn of Springfield, Colorado, Darren (Kristina) Corn of Oakland City; great nephews Allias Corn, Kaleb (Liz) Corn of Oakland City; great niece Amanda (Kennedy) Ramirez of Walsh, Colorado; many cousins in Kentucky and his special cat OC (Orange Cat).
