EVANSVILLE — Marilyn K. (Bell) Johnson, 67, of Evansville, died Thursday, July 13, 2017 at North Park Nursing Center in Evansville.

She was born Nov. 14, 1949 in Somerville to Donald L. and Evelyn M. (Usery) Bell. She graduated from Mackey High School. She attended the Christian Fellowship Church in Evansville. She was an Ad Executive at the Evansville Courier newspaper for 40 years, retiring in 2011.

She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Wayne Johnson of Evansville; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; sisters, Debra McKnight and Sharon Colvin; and a brother, Steven Bell.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Teresa Hayes in 2010; son-in-law, Charles Hayes in 2011; and brother, Larry Bell.

Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Monday at Corn-Colvin Funeral Home in Oakland City. Burial will be in Somerville Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
