FRANCISCO — Mary Lois (Hill) Burns, 92, of Francisco, passed away Monday, Feb. 13, 2017 at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh.

She was born July 24, 1924 in Gibson County, to Wilbur and Lula (Ice) Hill. She retired from Potter & Brumfield. She was a member of the Francisco United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Edward “Stick” and Heather Burns of Oakland City; granddaughter, Jocelyn (Burns) and Donald Burns of Evansville; grandson, Dr. Jordan M. Burns of Bloomington; great grandchildren, Gabriel and Evan Burns; brother, Bob Hill (Marge) of Princeton; sisters, Phyllis Brittingham of Wheeling and Sue Robb (Gilbert) of Francisco; and special friends, Darlene Fritz and Ethel Conley.

A special thanks is given to all the staff at Hamilton Pointe who cared for Mary during her time there.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Edward G. Burns in 2008; and a brother, William “Bill” Hill.

Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, 2017 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Rick Lance. Burial will be in Francisco Cemetery. Visitation is from 9 until 11 a.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home.
