PRINCETON – Michael Joseph Coomer, 67, Princeton, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018, at his home.
He was born May 31, 1950, in Princeton and had resided here most of his lifetime. Mike was an electrician since 1969 and retired in 2012 and was a member of the I.B.E.W. Local 16 in Evansville. He was a member of the First General Baptist Church in Princeton and a former member of the Moose Lodge 354 and Prince Masonic Lodge 231 both in Princeton.
Mike is survived by his mother, Delores (Wilkinson) Coomer of Princeton; two daughters, Kelly Leffler of Evansville and Whitney Reinbrecht of Princeton; a son, Chris Coomer of Princeton; five grandchildren, Sierra Allen, Alexis Wheeler, Addison and Hadlee Archer and Reagan Reinbrecht; a brother, David (Donna) Coomer of Princeton; a niece, Carrie House; a nephew, David Coomer Jr.; aunts and uncles, Walt and Dorothy Wilkinson, Lloyd and Mary Richardson and Jack and Georgia Wilkinson; and many cousins, including Bobby and Denny Wilkinson who were special cousins.
Mike was preceded in death by his father, Carl “Dutch” Coomer.
There will be no visitation or service at this time. A memorial service will be held at First General Baptist Church in Princeton at a later date. The date and time will be announced.
