PRINCETON — Robert Keith Fromm, 83, of Mount Carmel, and formerly of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2018, at Oakview Heights Nursing Home.

He was born April 9, 1935, in Bellmont, Illinois to Herman and Elma Louise (Hinderliter) Fromm.

He lived in Princeton for many years. Robert was employed by Snap-On Tools in Mount Carmel for 15 years and then retired from Amax Coal Company after 20 years. He served in the US Army. He was a member of the American Legion, United Mine Workers Local, Eagles in Princeton, Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Shrine. He enjoyed gardening and mowing the yard.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melody and Mike West of Albion, Illinois; grandchildren, Adam West of Albion and Amanda West Hart of Grayville; two great-grandchildren, Lucas Kemplen and Logan Hart; and a sister, Rita Joan Duncan of Brown, Illinois.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Doris Jean Fromm in 2013; and a brother, Donald Fromm in 2016.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, officiated by Rev. Brad Garner. Burial will follow at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Colvin Funeral Home. Military graveside services by Retired Military Veterans.
