OWENSVILLE -- Valada Mae Dixon, 76, of Owensville, passed away Tuesday at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

She was born Dec. 24, 1940, in Francisco to Clifford and Juanita Wells Jones. She was of Protestant faith and was a sitter for the elderly.

Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Valada Sue Reel, sister, Doris Haynie, and grandsons, Michael Page and Joshua Dixon.

Survivors include three children, Debra Dixon (David) Burns, Frank (Phyllis) Dixon, and Donna Dixon (Roger) Belka; one sister, Carol (Jim) Moore. She was blessed with several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, at Holders Funeral Home in Owensville, with the Rev. Bobby Joe Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Owensville Cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m.- 2 p.m. at the funeral home Friday.
