PATOKA — Whalen A. King, 92, of Patoka, passed away Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017 at Gibson General Hospital, Skilled Nursing Facility in Princeton.

He was born Nov. 17, 1924 in Central City, Kentucky, to Elder and Katherine King. He was a Gibson County resident most of his lifetime, coming from Kentucky, and was a retired mechanic. He served in the U. S. Army during WW II.

Surviving are his son, Whalen E. King of Patoka; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren and a sister, Marjorie Holderbaugh.

His wife Lois M. (Graham) King, and his son Jeff King preceded him in death.

There will be no visitation or service. Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton has been entrusted by the family for assistance.
