The No. 1 AP ranked Class A Wood Memorial High School Lady Trojans basketball team won the Tecumseh sectional on Saturday night, knocking off Blue Chip Conference foes, the Northeast Dubois Lady Jeeps, 59-42.

After ending the first half on a 6-0 run, the Lady Trojans couldn’t be stopped, outscoring 37-29 in the second half and never lost the lead.

Carsen Robinson led the Trojans in scoring, tallying a game-high 15 points behind 9-9 free throwing in the fourth quarter.

Chloe Bartley tallied 12 and Brenna Maikranz tallied 10 while Lexi Lashbrook and Sydney Day tallied 8 each.

The Lady Trojans will travel to Springs Valley on Saturday, Feb. 11 competing against the Crothersville Tigers, who sport a 19-8 record, at 11 a.m. CST. The Championship game will take place at 7 p.m.
