The trio of Skylar Boes, Tabatha Klem, and Meredith Raley led Gibson Southern to a 19-5 record, a Pocket Athletic Championship and berth in the sectional title game. All three are joined by Princeton Community's Kiare Young and Hannah Sisk, and Wood Memorial's Lexi Lashbrook on the 2017-18 Daily Clarion's all-county team for girls basketball.
Boes, a senior, averaged just six points per game, but filled up the stat sheet, and helped Gibson Southern in other ways as the Titan's point guard. The University of Tennessee-Martin soccer commit grabbed four rebounds a game, dished out five assists and recorded 113 steals on the season, while being named first-team all PAC. Klem led the Titans in scoring as a junior with 15 points a game, and took five boards a game, and was a first-team all PAC selection. Raley, just a sophomore, was also first-team all PAC, averaging 13 points per contest, and grabbed over five rebounds a game.
As a senior, Young became Princeton's seventh girls player to join the 1,000-point club and was named first-team all Big Eight. Young averaged 17.4 points per game, and took 6.8 rebounds, while dishing out almost two assists per contest. Sisk averaged 13.6 points per game as a freshman for the Tigers, and took almost four rebounds a contest, while being named to the Big Eight first-team. The duo led Princeton to a 12-12 record and a berth in the sectional final.
Following a state championship season, Lashbrook, a Wood Memorial senior, was named first-team all Blue Chip Conference, while leading the Trojans to an 11-12 record and berth in the sectional final. Lashbrook shot over 50 percent from the field, averaging 10.9 points per game, and nine rebounds.
