The Gibson Southern softball team defeated South Spencer on Thursday 4-0, avenging their only Pocket Athletic Conference loss from last year as Jaime Nurrenbern threw a no-hitter.

The game was scoreless until the fourth inning when Cora Blume led off with a walk. Lauren Lingafelter laid down a sacrifice bunt moving Blume to second base. Jaime Nurrenbern then come up and hit a 2-run homer to put Gibson Southern on top 2-0.

Then, with two outs in the fifth inning Colby Rogers also launched a homerun to give the Lady Titans a 3-0 lead. Hannah Bryant and Blume then each singled to extend the inning and Lingafelter hit an RBI single to close out the scoring.

The Titans softball team is back in action on Friday playing Evansville Harrison at home starting at 5 p.m.
