FORT BRANCH -- The Gibson Southern baseball team set the tone early Thursday night in a 10-0 five-inning win over visiting Evansville Bosse.
The Titans scored five runs in the first inning and tacked on three more in the second inning for an early 8-0 lead and never looked back.
Cale Colvert started the scoring parade with a 2-out RBI single in the home half of the first frame. Colvert finished the game 2-for-3 at the plate.
Freshman Kaden Hurless added a two-run double to highlight the scoring frame. Hurless also socked a 2-run double in the

second inning to give the Titans an 8-0 lead.
Brayden Malone added a pair of hits and scored two runs out of the Titans lead-off spot.
Cody Hupp and Caleb Sellers rounded out the Titans' 8-hit attack.
Sellers drove home two runs, while Hupp added one RBI.
Colton Okes picked up the win on the mound as he tossed the first 4 innings. Okes allowed just one hit and fanned four batters.
Hupp recorded the final out with a punchout.
The Titans traveled to Mt. Vernon Friday night.
