Merger takes effect July 13

PRINCETON — The Arc of Gibson County and The Arc of Pike County will merge July 13 to become The Arc Southwest Indiana, according to a news release from the organizations issued Monday.

Both agencies have partnered in a relationship over the past 30 years, most recently with executive oversight from Stan Keepes, who will remain as CEO of The Arc of Southwest Indiana.

"This merger brings together two highly successful agencies that will be able to offer more unique opportunities for community employment, integration and rehabilitation services for people with different abilities," Keepes said.

Individuals served by the two organizations will see no change in services provided. As a private non-profit group, all community members now serving on both boards of directors have agreed to continue to serve as one board of directors going forward.

The Arc Southwest Indiana serves individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities with more than 200 staff members, spanning across six counties in Southern Indiana.
