PRINCETON - After spending 20 years on the Princeton square, Shear Magic of Princeton, LTD relocated to 121 East State Street on May 1 and celebrates with move with a grand re-opening open house Saturday.

"The space is a different set up than before," stylist Shannon Wilson said. "It's more modern and up-to-date than the old shop was."

"We just decided we needed something different," said owner/stylist Billie Wildt.

Saturday's event is from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. "We will be having door prizes, refreshments and L&B Boutique will be here with their mobile boutique," Wilson said. "People are welcome to just come and stop in to look at our new place."

Although the new location is working well for the stylists, Wildt says it is going to take time to get used to. "Even though this place is great, we will miss the square," Wildt said. "Just being a block off of it… we still miss the activity."

Shear Magic offers services including haircuts, color, waxing and more. The three stylists, Wildt, Wilson and Kim Stratman, prefer appointments, but also welcome walk-ins.

Salon hours are Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and closed on Sunday and Monday.

To make up an appointment, phone 812-386-7662.
