Instruction grant for St. Joe

St. Joseph Catholic School students Bentley Moore and Colin Cashin play a game of Scramble, practicing rapid identification of slides (the beginning of a word). The teammate to slap it first scores a point for their team. The materials for the game are part of Duke Energy Foundation’s $2,900 remedial instruction grant to St. Joseph Catholic School for materials relating to reading strategies in phonemic awareness, phonemic instruction, fluency and vocabulary instruction and comprehension.
