Outstanding Librarian

Oakland City-Columbia Township Library Director Julie Elmore is recognized as the Indiana Library Federation’s Outstanding Librarian. Elmore was recognized from her work to promote library services, which range from no-contact pickup, delivery to homebound patrons, lunch-and-learn activities for seniors, story time for children, summer reading, computer services, craft events, offering a solar-powered charging bench for electronic devices, and a hanging garden. Supporters describe Elmore as a person “who gets more done in a day than most do in a week! She gets it done with nothing but a spirit of grit, spit, and a lot of duct tape!!”
