As spring approaches, so does the annual Gibson General Health Foundation Mardi Gras Jazz Gala.
This year’s event is set for 5:30 to 10:30 p.m. March 14, 2020, at the Toyota Events Center at the Gibson County Fairgrounds in Princeton.
The gala is catered by the Bauerhaus and features music, as well as a silent and live auction.
The event moved to the fairgrounds last year, and will return for the 2020 event.
“We’re excited to be hosting at the Toyota Events Center, “ said LeAnn Cooper, Gibson General Health Foundation Executive Director in a statement. “This location has brought us closer to home, while also growing the event with more space and potential capabilities.”
Organizers are still soliciting donations to the auction events, and there tables and seating still available for community members hoping to attend. RSVPs are due by March 4.
The proceeds from this event have helped purchase items for the hospital in previous years, with all funds aimed at helping further the mission of Gibson General.
The money stays local and is put toward the hospital’s services and programs.
“It’s a fun evening for a great cause,” Cooper stated.
The chair for this year’s event is Princeton Police Chief Derek McGraw, who is on the Trustee Board of Gibson General Hospital.
