PRINCETON — Gibson County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a Decker woman on preliminary charges of theft and false informing by hindering law enforcement, following a Friday report of someone tricking to take a package from a home.
The sheriff’s office reported Gibson County Central Dispatch received a call regarding someone trying to take the package from a home on East County Road 150 South, reporting the person was picked up in a red Chevrolet pickup as they attempted to flee the area.
Deputy Jennifer Robb and Indiana State Trooper Jordan Lee responded to the area, and Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Bruce Vanoven stopped a 2011 Chevrolet Silverado pickup on Main Street in Princeton, across the street from the Gibson County jail.
Vanoven identified the person in the vehicle as Rosalea Landazuri, 21, Decker, and she told police she had touched the package, according to the sheriff’s office report.
Robb interviewed the homeowner, who provided photos of the suspect and the vehicle. After collecting statements from Landazuri and another female at the scene, Robb arrested Landazuri. She was in custody with bond set at $650.
