OWENSVILLE — The driver in a one-vehicle rollover crash on Ind. 168 near Orchards Curve Wednesday morning died at the scene of the accident, according to a news release from the Gibson County Sheriff's Office.

Sgt. Bruce Vanoven reported in the release that Gibson County Central Dispatch received the call regarding a rollover accident at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday.

Deputies, Gibson County medics, and first responders from Owensville-Montgomery Twp. and Fort Branch fire departments arrived at the scene to find that the male driver had passed away during the incident.

Gibson County Coroner Misty Hoke dispatched to the scene and following the on-scene investigation, her office transported the body to the Vanderburgh County Morgue.

Vanoven investigated the accident with assistance of Sheriff's Office Captain Deborah Borchelt, Deputy Jennifer Loesch, Fort Branch Town Marshal Darrell Parker, and Haubstadt Town Marshal Jeremy Volk.

Vanoven said Hoke will schedule an autopsy, but no names or vehicle information were being released during the open investigation.
