Princeton Gordmans store closing

The Princeton Gordmans store, which opened in March 2019, is set to close due to impact from COVID-19 on its parent company. Stage Stores filed Chapter 11 Bankruptcy after having all stores closed temporarily. “Despite all of our efforts, we have been unable to obtain necessary financing to continue operating as an independent business,” President and CEO Michael Glazer stated in a news release. The business filed bankruptcy while simultaneously running a sale process for the business or any assets and to “initiate an orderly wind-down of our operations.” The local store has signs identifying close-out sales. There are also signs requesting anyone who has been sick to not enter in an attempt to combat COVID-19.
