Owensville art

Owensville Merchants Association commissioned artist Drew Cooper to create this mural on the south wall of a building owned by Scott Garrett on the east side of the town square. Cooper’s vivid artistry for this project includes a nod to the school mascot, the annual Watermelon Festival (canceled this year) and other features of the community. Cooper works Friday morning from a lift truck donated by Koberstein Rentals for the project. He estimated, after six days of work, he had used about 15 to 20 gallons of paint for the mural. Another mural is planned for second building in the community.
