PRINCETON — Princeton Fire Territory trustees approved a $33,772 bid from Elbert Construction of Evansville to make repairs to some portions and replace other portions of the White Church Road fire station roof.

The board reviewed the quote last month and opted to table action until members could look at the facility.

PFT Chief Mike Pflug said companies that provided estimates for the repairs/replacement found issues with the installation of the original roof, but the company that installed it is no longer in business.

The bid includes making repairs to the truck bay roof and replacing roofing over the living quarters.

During Monday’s meeting, Pflug reported the department has responded to 94 calls over the past month and completed 69 hours of combined training.

He said the new ladder truck was placed in service May 12. Fire hose testing is in progress, and Pflug said new charging systems were installed on two tanker trucks. He said two LED lights on the light tower of a rescue truck are in need of replacement.
