OAKLAND CITY — David John Briggs, 60, of Oakland City died Monday, March 29, 2021, at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville.

He was born on April 17, 1960, in Charleston, West Virginia to George and Elpha (Drew) Briggs. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister’s Mitzi Hartley, Shirley French, brother Jay C. Briggs.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Loretta Briggs (Eaden); daughters Beth Tooke (Kurtis) of Anderson, Indiana, Sierra Snow of Illinois; four granddaughters; and one great granddaughter on the way; and one grandson;s sisters Billie Pavey, Elizabeth (Tom) Ruble of Evansville, Marna Miller, Georgia Curtis of Oakland City, Vickie (Charles) McGowan of Francisco; brothers Michael (Brenda) Briggs, Patrick (Bee) Briggs of Princeton, and Bobby Briggs of Indianapolis.

A celebration of life will take place at a later date
