OWENSVILLE — Donald Alan Wallace, 73, of Owensville, died at home Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023.

Born Jan. 6, 1950 in Machester, New Hampshire, he was the son of Charles and Doris (Lagasse) Wallace.

He graduated from Fort Branch High School in 1968 and served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971. He worked for Denton Construction for over 10 years and retired from Gibson Generating after 20-plus years of service.

Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Charlene Wilhite.

Surviving are his wife Dorothy Wallace of Owensville; children, Donald A. (Susan) Wallace, Jr. of Evansville and Kristin (Chad) Gayso of Jasper; siblings, Richard (Carol) Wallace of Owensville and Waughneta (Bobby) King of Princeton; five grandchildren; and extended family.

Visitation was March 2, with a Masonic service at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch, followed by private service and burial with military rites performed by Veterans of Gibson County.
