PRINCETON — Edith Britt, 96, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Jan. 16, 2020, at the Linda E. White Hospice in Evansville.

She was born April 23, 1923, in Otwell, Indiana to Allen and Virba (Hayden) Evans. She was a lifetime resident of Princeton. She worked in the office at Servel. She regularly attended Broadway Christian Church and was a member of the Gibson General Hospital Auxiliary since 1967.

She is survived by cousins; and special friends, Susan Greer, Bill and Susan Poyner, and Jodi Meyer.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Franklin Britt in 1984; and brother Prentice Evans in 1961.

Funeral service will be held at the graveside at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2020, at Maple Hill Cemetery in Princeton with the Rev. John Dunn officiating. Burial will follow. There will be no visitation.
