PRINCETON — Janice Genevieve Merrick, 91, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at River Oaks Rehabilitation and Health Care in Princeton.
She was born June 14, 1931 in Gibson County to Joseph Lehman and Sara “Avis” (Boal) Lehman, and graduated from Francisco High School.
She worked at the dime store on the square and at Smith Jewelry store. She was a member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church and Lady Elks. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching game shows on TV. She was loved dearly and will be missed.
Janice is survived by her sister, Barbara Roethlisberger of Washington, Missouri; niece, Marilyn Young; nephews, David Lehman, Randy Lehman, and Norman Roethlisberger; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and even some great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Kenneth Parr; second husband, Herman Merrick; sisters, Marjorie Lehman and Rosemary Clem; brother, Joseph “Carl” Lehman; and two nephews.
Funeral service is at noon Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Fairview Presbyterian Church with Elder John Stevens officiating, and interment to follow at Fairview Church Cemetery. Visiting hours are from 10 a.m. until noon Tuesday at the church.
