PETERSBURG — Jerry Robert Sullivan, 78, of Petersburg, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2021 at Golden Living Center in Petersburg.
He was born in rural Pike County, Sunday, Aug. 1, 1943 to Robert Arthur and Blanche White Sullivan, both of whom precede.
Mr. Sullivan was a lifelong Pike County resident. He started out farming along with his dad, Robert and brother, Steve. He also worked as an operating engineer out of Local 181 in Evansville, retiring after 29 years. After retiring from the local Operating Engineers, Jerry went on to do odd jobs around the Petersburg area with concrete work. Mr. Sullivan attended the Petersburg Church of God.
Jerry is survived by three sons, Todd Sullivan of Petersburg, Scott (Becky) Sullivan of Petersburg, Jay (Tina) Sullivan of Lynnville; two sisters, Faith Livermore of Princeton and Phyllis Gootee of Indianapolis. Other survivors include seven grandchildren, Dean, Taryn, Charlee, Gracee, Lillee, Cameron and Hunter along with three great grandchildren, Wade Sullivan, Addilyn and Wrenley Willis.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Steven Arthur Sullivan.
Funeral service is at noon (CST) Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at Doyle Funeral Home, 520 S. Main St. Princeton, IN 47670, with John B. Davidson officiating
Visitation is from 10 a.m. to noon (CST) Saturday, Sept. 18, 2021 at the funeral home. Internment will take place in Shiloh Cemetery located in rural Hazleton.
