FORT BRANCH — Leonard Frederick Kempf, 90, of Fort Branch, died at his home May 16, 2023.
He was born to Leo and Magdelena (Ruegg) Kempf Feb. 15, 1933, in Evansville.
Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, John, Kenneth, Tom and Jim Kempf and Mathilda Inkenbrandt.
He is survived by his wife Anna Kempf of Fort Branch; children, Deborah Schloot of Sullivan, Rodney Lang of Evansville, Neil Kempf of Evansville, Tony Kempf of Mackey and Julie Niederhaus of Haubstadt; brothers Leo Kempf of Evansville and Steve Kempf of Mt. Vernon; nine grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Stodghill Funeral Home, with military walk through at 2 p.m. Graveside service with military honors performed by Veterans of Gibson County is at Providence Cemetery in Francisco, with David Rogers officiating. A memorial service is planned at a later date at Washington Avenue Church of Christ in Evansville.
