TULLAHOMA, Tenn. — Carolyn Sue (Sumners) Davis, age 79, of Tullahoma, Tennessee, passed from this life on Friday, June 7, 2019, at Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital surrounded by her family.

She was born in Oakland City on July 24, 1939, to Virginia (Chumbley) and Curtis Sumners. She graduated from Oakland City High School in 1957.

She raised three children while working until she retired at the age of 62. She was kind and always willing to help her children in any way she could even if it meant self-sacrificing. She loved her children and grandchildren more than anything. She loved animals especially dogs and cats.

In her own words, "I have had a good life and have really enjoyed all of my life." She would want us to remember the person she was before she was struck by this terrible disease (Dementia). We know she would be quite pleased, if we could reach out and help someone we might know with this disease or lend an ear to a family member.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Lea Sumners; and sister, Esther Grubaugh.

She is survived by her three daughters, Susan Roberts, Laura West and Natalie Cagianese; two sisters, Carla Woolsey and Rita Ward; sister-in-law Jackie (Bailey) Sumners; aunt, Georgia T.(Sumners) Price; a niece, Martha (Ward) Morizur; and nephews, Curtis Lea, Yukon Erik and Christopher; six grandchildren, Devonna Izzi, James West, Kenny Roberts, Paige West, Melissa Roberts, and Emma Cagianese; and seven great-grandchildren.

Tullahoma Funeral Home, Tullahoma, Tennessee is honored to serve The Davis Family and asks that you sign the guest book at www.tullahomafuneralhome.com.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
