HAZELTON — Charles Robert Robling, 68, of Hazleton, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2019, at his home.

He was born July 14, 1951, to parents, Byron Robling and Wilma (Bateman) Robling. Charlie served in the United States Army in Germany during the Vietnam War. He was self-employed as a carpenter for many years. He enjoyed working and keeping busy. He enjoyed camping with his family and playing with his dog, Bandit.

Charlie is survived by his wife, Nila Robling; two step-daughters, Stephanie (Donnie) Bishop and Tracy Nelson; Grandchildren, Shayna (Garrett), Jalen, Ashlyn, Kiana, Kennedy, and Jensyn; three great-grandchildren, Stella, Kee'jai, Jai'ah, and one on the way, Rowan; several nieces and nephews; brother, Dave (Brenda); and sister-in-law, Myra.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Larry and Jeff; and one infant brother, Byron.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2019, at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton officiated by Pastor Andrew Johnson. Interment will follow at Mount Olive Cemetery in Mount Olympus. A visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until service time, 2 p.m. Aug. 26, 2019, at the funeral home.

For those who wish, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
