PRINCETON — Dale W. Bump, 81, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019, at his home with his family by his side.

He was born Feb. 12, 1938, in Mount Carmel, Illinois, the son of Benny and Celia (Dosset) Bump. He married Rose Parker on June 19, 1981, and together they enjoyed 38 years of marriage.

Dale loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren. He always loved when the whole family would get together at family dinners and fish fry gatherings. One of Dale’s favorite treats was snack cakes. He was an outdoorsman and loved hunting and fishing. Dale worked for twenty-seven years at Snap On Tools. He faithfully served his country in the United States Army and served during the Vietnam War. Dale will be missed by his family and all who knew him.

Dale will be remembered by his loving wife, Rose Bump of Princeton; four sons, Rodger Bump, Robert (Sandy) Bump, Brian (Jamie) Bump, Bobby (Heather) Beadles; three daughters, Patricia Gilmore, Jamie Matsel and Carrie (Earl) Young; grandchildren, Cody Linxwiler, Casey Bump, Hunter Bump, Brett Pridgen, Brianna Bump, Kelly Bump, Audrey Beadles, Emma Beadles, Addison Matsel, Jaelynn Matsel, Brandon Young and Marrisa Young; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; siblings, Darlene (Tom) Allen, Debbie (Phillip) Cross, Dee Dee (Danny) Dillinger, Darnell (Floyd) Treece; and many loved nieces and nephews.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and his nephew, Tommy Allen.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 8, 2019, in the Chapel of Keepes Funeral Home with Pastor Bart Newton officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel Cemetery with Full Military Honors.
