HAUBSTADT — David C. Crabtree, 78, formerly of Haubstadt died Thursday, Sept. 5, 2019, at the Heritage Center in Evansville.

He was born March 17, 1941, in Evansville to Berthold and Naomi (Stallings) Crabtree. He formerly worked as a custodian at Deaconess Hospital.

He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, the Knights of St. John 345 and Knights of Columbus 2215

Preceding him in death were his parents, and two brothers, Robert and Allen Crabtree.

He is survived by his “honorary” daughter, Mary (Mike) Sorg, seven “grandchildren,” and two "great-grandchildren.”

A Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 9, 2019, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery near Owensville. Friends may call from 8 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church with a Rosary service beginning at 9:30 a.m.
