PATOKA — Gilbert Ray Adcock, 77, a longtime resident of Patoka, died Sunday, Sept. 15, 2019, at Deaconess Gateway Hospital in Newburgh.

He was born Jan. 17, 1942, in Evansville to Taylor and Rose (Gray) Adcock. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the VFW and served on the Funeral Detail.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Martha Jean Adcock of Patoka; son, John Adcock (Stella) of Princeton; brother, Gene Adcock of Evansville; sister, Marilyn Pike of North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother and one sister.

Graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019, at the Oak Hill Cemetery in Patoka with Rev. Amber Cook and Rev. Kenneth Armitage officiating. Burial will follow the services. Military services will be provided by the Retired Military Veterans. There will be no visitation.
