NIPOMO, Cali. — Mark Alan Parke, age 56, of Nipomo, California, passed away at 2:30 p.m. PST Monday, Jan. 20, 2020, at home.

Mark was born Sept. 19, 1963, in Evansville, to Don Parke and Joyce Strickland Parke.

He graduated from Southridge High School. Mark went on to graduate from Olivet Nazarene in Kankakee, Illinois, and from Rhema Bible College in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was the pastor of Faith Life Community Church in Nipomo, California, where he served faithfully for the past 15 years.

Mark worked for the Evansville Rescue Mission, Youth Center in Evansville, and he was the associate pastor at Oak Hill Christian Center and the pastor of a church in Pike County before moving to California. Mark was a very dedicated minister of the Gospel who loved God. He just became a proud grandfather this past September.

Mark is survived by his beloved wife of 27 years, Novella (McKinney) Parke; father Don Parke (Cheryl); son Caleb Parke (Penelope); daughter Brittney Crabtree (Jonathan); granddaughter Eleanor Yang Parke; brothers Philip Parke of Raymore, Missouri, and Dr. Stephen Parke of Nampa, Idaho.

Mark is preceded in death by his stepmother of 30 years, Annetta (Schmidt) Parke; and brother John Parke.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, 2020, at Faith Life Community Church, 726 W. Tefft, Nipomo, CA 93444. Burial will be Private.

Friends may visit Friday afternoon, Jan. 24, at Faith Life Community Church.
