OWENSVILLE — Myrtle L. Martin, 87, of Owensville, died at her home surrounded by family on Nov. 23, 2019.

She was born to Robert Ed and Myrtle Edna (Reid) Buck on May 8, 1932, in Beaver Dam, Kentucky.

She retired from AMAX Coal Company as an underground coal miner. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a member of Dayspring Community Church in Owensville.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Otis L. Martin; a child George Edwin Aldridge; a brother Vernon Ed Buck; and a sister Averil Lee Buck.

She is survived by two daughters, Twanya Miller of Owensville, and Cindy (Dick) Casey of Beaver Dam, Kentucky; a sister, Jewel Doyal of Centertown, Kentucky; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 30, 2019, at Stodghill Funeral Home in Fort Branch with Pastor Scott Burr officiating. A visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
