PRINCETON — Mary Jean Sturgeon, 77, of Princeton, passed away Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, at her home.

She was born Jan. 4, 1944, in Sparta, Tennessee to the late Samuel and Lector (Eller) Morgan and was a factor worker for Potter and Brumfield, Hansen Manufacturing, and at Whirlpool.

She was a poet and enjoyed writing poetry. She also enjoyed flowers. She was a good woman and will be dearly missed.

Mary is survived by her husband, James Sturgeon of Princeton; sons, David Pyle and Jeffrey Pyle; step children, Thomas Stugeon, Kimberly Allender (John), and Misty Tompolis (Derek); seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, John Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Margie Oakley, Lloyd Morgan, Doris Hamilton, and an infant twin sister, June Morgan.

A private family graveside service will be held at Columbia White Church Cemetery in Princeton at a later date.
